Who can benefit from therapy?

Any individual struggling with challenges in their life can benefit from trauma therapy. Whether you are struggling with unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship problems, therapy can help you manage the impact on your life. Therapy is designed to help any individual who desires to seek change in their life. It can also be used as a tool to treat mental illnesses, such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and much more. Therapy can prove beneficial for individuals, couples, families, children, teens, and adults from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Can therapy help with old and recent traumas?

Yes. Trauma therapy can be beneficial for recent traumas or traumatic events from your past. It can also be used for a one-time traumatic event, such as a crime or natural disaster, or to treat recurring trauma, such as sexual, physical abuse, or combat-related trauma.

Will insurance cover my therapy sessions?

Insurance coverage often includes in-person and online (teletherapy) sessions under their mental health coverage options. At Greenview, we currently accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO.

Before your first session, we will check with your insurance provider to see if your policy covers your upcoming sessions. We will ask your carrier the following questions:

  • What are your mental health benefits?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Will you be required to pay a copay?
  • How many therapy sessions will your plan cover?
  • How much will your insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
  • Do you require approval or a referral from your primary care physician?

Can I pay for my sessions out of pocket (without insurance)?

Yes. We accept personal payments if you do not have insurance or mental health coverage.

Private Pay rates:

  • 160 for 50 minutes for individual therapy sessions

Is teletherapy as effective as in-person therapy sessions?

Yes! Teletherapy is 100% as effective as in-person therapy sessions. Your teletherapy sessions are conducted using a safe and secure internet connection. In most cases, teletherapy is covered by your health insurance.

What can I expect from therapy?

Therapy sessions typically occur once per week and last between 50 and 60 minutes. However,  some people require two sessions per week during times of crisis. During your initial session, your therapist will collect your background information (medical history, family background,  cultural background, etc.). Your therapist will also use this first session to understand what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from treatment. Based on your specific needs, your therapist will develop a treatment plan to help you meet your therapeutic goals.
